Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian, host of a TV show and actor most well-known for her role as host of the popular daily talk show The Talk. Sheryl Underwood was born in Arkansas was raised among Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl is from a troubled family. She spent most of her young life caring for her sister Frankie who suffered from the disease of polio. As a child, her relations with her mother were not always smooth. Sheryl says that at one point her mother cut her dad due to his proximity. Sheryl joined military after graduating from the college. However her interest lay in comedy. She was the first female winner of the contest Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. Her TV career began in 1992 as a participant on the HBO comedy series Def Comedy Jam. She hosted the television show Oh Drama! in 2000. In 2011, she began being a co-host for The Talk, a talk show. The Talk. She's been in many fictional series including Bulworth Nikki, Beauty Shop and others.
