Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian, TV host and actress famous for hosting the popular daytime talk show The Talk. Born in Arkansas she was raised within Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl has a turbulent family. Sheryl was raised by her sister Frankie. Frankie had suffered from her own illness called Polio. As a teenager, she experienced many issues with her mother. Sheryl said that at one point her mother attacked the father of her child due to the fact that she was too close to the father. Sheryl was a soldier shortly after graduating from her college. Sheryl's interest lay with comedy. She was the first female winner of the Miller Lite Comedy Search in 1989. She began her TV career when she was regularly performing at The HBO Comedy Show Def Comedy Jam in 1992. She also appeared in 2000 as a host on the TV program Oh Drama! Seit 2011, she is co-hosting the Talk show. Also, she's played a fictional character in shows like Bulworth Nicki as well as Beauty Shop.
