Harry Edward Styles, known in the world of music as Harry Styles, is a British singer and composer, recognized as a member of the band One Direction. He is the father of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born on February 1st, 1994 at Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles, a former student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive Schools Holmes Chapel Comprehensive schools formed a group called White Eskimo with three fellow students. They took home the Battle of Bands in 2009 due to their impressive performances. Though he's been interested in music, he was also aspired to become an attorney or physical therapist. When he worked in the city's bakery Harry Styles managed to support his family. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition where he sang the Stevie Wonder's track Is not She Lovely. The group was forced to break up. Nicole Scherzinger was the judge who suggested Harry Styles to be part of a new group named One Direction, along with Liam Payne Zayn malik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored this five-person group, and they formed in 2010. The group performed hits like My Life Would Suffer Without You, by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. This made the group one of the contenders for the prize. The group was however placed third behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles was not the winner. Cowell had paid 2,000,000 pounds as part of a deal for One Direction.
